Samantha has been roped in by director Shankar to play one of the heroines of his forthcoming film, which has Vikram in the lead. The movie is expected to be produced by V. Ravichandran of Aascar Films.

According to sources, there are actually two leading ladies in the flick, and one of them is Samantha. "A search is on for the other heroine and things will be finalised in a few days," add sources.

P. C. Sreeram will handle cinematography for this yet to be titled film, which will have music from the Oscar-Grammy winner A. R. Rahman. Writer duo Suba is taking care of the script and dialogues.

"The film will be simultaneously made in three languages - Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It will deal about the election system in the country," sources say. The shooting for the movie would begin by mid June.
