(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sofa Vergara admits her hangovers have worsened with age.

The Colombian-born actress enjoys letting her hair down with friends, but is careful to curtail her alcohol intake. Sofa, 40, is reluctant to get too intoxicated as she hates feeling under the weather the following day.

"In Colombia, everybody drinks Scotch and whisky, but with age your body doesn't deal with hangovers so well especially when your son rubs them in your face," she told the latest issue of UK magazine Glamour. "So now it's white wine. I don't love it that much, so I stop at a certain point, so it's perfect and better for me."

Sofa is best known for her role as Gloria in award-winning TV show Modern Family. The star has always had a talent for making people laugh, but never dreamed she could make a living out of it.

"I never knew I could act, but I knew I was funny, because at school I was a bit of a class clown," she explained. "I never thought I'd be making money out of being funny, but I've always taken advantage of opportunities and worked hard and wanted to create a business." (C) Cover Media
