Actor Rami Reddy, who shot to fame playing the bad guy in Telugu and Hindi films, passed away at a private hospital in Secunderabad at around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, while undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment. He was undergoing treatment for the past couple of weeks. He was 52, and is survived by two daughters and a son. The final rites would be conducted at Punjagutta crematorium in the evening.

He was highly appreciated and loved within the Telugu Film fraternity. Rami Reddy's first hit was the film 'Ankusam' (1990). He went on to act over 250 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam and Bhojpuri cinema. Rami Reddy will be remembered for his performances in Telugu films including 'Osey Ramulamma', 'Gayam', 'Ammoru', 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' and 'Kshana Kshanam'.

Reddy started his career as a journalist before entering the Telegu Film industry.He was from Andhra Pradesh.
