(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Terrence Howard has been recorded leaving a death threat on a stranger's voicemail.
The Oscar-nominated actor can be heard on the message, left on August 31, in an expletive filled rant about someone calling his wife.
In the recordings obtained by RadarOnline, Terrence identifies himself before letting loose on their source's phone.
"N**ga, you've been calling my wife," he says. "If you call my wife again I'm going to come to your house and I'm going to cut your f**king throat."
"Understand that. I'm gonna tell you this one time. You call my wife again, I'm going to kill you."
But it turned out that someone was playing a prank on Terrence and had left a message on what they thought was the actor's phone, but in fact it was his wife Michelle Ghent's mobile.
Eight days later, Terrence called the source and left another message but was apologetic this time having subsequently realised that his wife was not in any danger.
"I'm so sorry for calling you and speaking that way," Terrence said. "I thought you were somebody that's been harassing my wife. Please forgive me."
The Iron Man actor also sent a text message explaining his behaviour.
"My wife told me that she was receiving obscene texts from you and that she was being harassed," he wrote. "Therefore I responded with the protective nature that a husband has for his wife."
"Forgive me for the anger, but as you are watching over your girlfriend, I too am devoted to my love." (C) Cover Media
