(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tilda Swinton says being lazy explains everything about her personality.

The 49-year-old actress has had a hugely successful career, making a name for herself in Hollywood hits such as Michael Clayton and more obscure arthouse movies including I Am Love.

However, the star insists she isnt hardworking, and admits she will always take the easiest option in a given situation.

Laziness explains everything about me. I try to eliminate any unnecessary constraints, she told the French edition of Elle magazine.

Tilda says her desire to take life easy explains her decision not to undergo plastic surgery in a bid to look younger. The beautiful actress revealed she doesnt see the point in wasting time submitting to surgical procedures.

For example, I dont think I would ever get plastic surgery how boring. It must take such a mad amount of peoples time to struggle against time, she explained.

The Scottish star said that while she is happy to age gracefully, she does still look for style inspiration from the stars she idolised as a teenager, notably the eccentric musician David Bowie.

David is celebrated for his androgynous look, much in the same way Tilda is, so she says that makes her think they share a special connection.

I dare to hope that David Bowie and I come from the same planet, she laughed. (C) Cover Media
