(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Felton wanted to quit Harry Potter, but changed his mind when Daniel Radcliffe gave him a "kick up the backside".

The 23-year-old actor, who has played Harry Potter's nemesis Draco Malfoy since the films began in 2001, was fed up at one point during the series, and wanted to quit. However, he was convinced to stay on following a chat with Daniel, who plays Harry.

"I had my teenage moments when I thought, 'This isn't what I want to do. This isn't right.' When I was 15 and wanted to go on a ski trip with my friends but couldn't go because Warner Bros. didn't want me to is when I thought I'd had enough," he told British newspaper The Telegraph. "But Daniel gave me a kick up the backside and told me to remember how lucky we all were, and in hindsight I'm very grateful to the way things turned out."

Tom's certainly keeping busy ahead of the forthcoming final Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. He also has Rise of the Planet of the Apes being released this summer.

While the child actors all have future films in the pipeline, Emma Watson feels privileged to have been involved in the series.

"I've worked with animals, special effects, I've done some serious stunts, and I've worked with some of the best actors and actresses in the world I couldn't have had better training," she explained. "I feel I've graduated from the most wonderful film school of all time and now I can't wait to go to work. I'm nervous and excited." (C) Cover Media
