Vidya Balan might have won the appreciation of many for her portrayal of a role inspired by Andhra Pradesh beauty Silk Smitha, in 'The Dirty Picture'. But the Bollywood actress is in trouble now.

A Hyderabad court has directed the police to book Vidya Balan for posing for 'indecent photographs' on the film's posters and promos.

Nampally Criminal Court has ordered the Nallakunta police station in the city to book a criminal case against the actress. The court passed the orders on a petition filed by an advocate S K Azad.

Silk Smitha created a sensation in the 1980s with her steamy roles. She committed suicide in 1996. She acted in over 450 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
