Following the huge success of 'Aadukalam', Dhanush was pinning his hopes on his commercial entertainer 'Maapillai'. The film fetched good collections at the box-office due to the vigorous promotions of Sun Pictures but didn't win the favour of the audience and film critics. The actor has now completed work on his next film 'Vengai', which is directed by Hari, whose previous release 'Singam' was a blockbuster.

'Vengai' is scheduled to hit screens in June and meanwhile Dhanush has resumed shooting for his elder brother Selvaraghavan's 'Erandam Ulagam'. Initially, they were supposed to make 'Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam' but the project was shelved halfway due to production issues.

'Erandam Ulagam' is a breezy romantic entertainer with the same pair, Dhanush-Andrea, in lead role.
