Different theories are popping up suggesting why Superstar Rajinikanth called up Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and DMK president M Karunanidhi, immediately after being discharged from the Singapore hospital.

According to one set of sources, the top actor telephoned the two top politicians of Tamil Nadu, as both the leaders wanted to meet him when he was in Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai but were denied permission, because of the health condition of Rajini at that time.

"Now that he is alright, he immediately spoke to Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi," they say. Other sources claim that Rajini thought that speaking to these two leaders would to convey his fans and well-wishers all over the world, that he is fine.
