(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alexis Jordan says she will never use foul language.
The 18-year-old found fame after reaching the semi-finals of the first season of Americas Got Talent. This exposure eventually led her to be signed by hip hop legend Jay-Zs record label and she has begun a successful pop career, although she insists fame will not compromise her strict morals. The singer often laments fellow artists and their overtly sexual persona, and is adamant she will never use bad language.
Its just not me. There are loads of other words in the dictionary! I want to be a positive role model for young people who are sick of the raunchy pop world. Im young, so I dont want to be too sexual. I can do the whole woman thing when Im a woman. For now, let me smile and be fun, she told Company magazine.
Alexis hopes to remain carefree within an industry notorious for its cynical nature. While she admits her music may change as she gets older, Alexis plans to revel in the moment for now.
Young artists like me are growing up in front of you. Im not perfect, Im only human! If I went through a hardcore break-up then of course my music is going to change and maybe Ill change a little too. But right now, Im just trying to be as good as I can be, and enjoy every second of it, she enthused. (C) Cover Media
