(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amber Heard is tired of being called a sex symbol because it's such a "limiting term".

The 25-year-old blonde star doesn't understand why her looks are the first thing many people mention when discussing her. She's keen to show how strong an actress she is, as she wants to be known for her art.

"It's very frustrating because of course, I just like anyone do not see myself in such limited terms. While I know that people might see me in a certain way, I know that there's much more to me and there's much more interesting things about me," she said.

Many actresses have complained about the roles available for them in Hollywood, and Amber also finds it problematic. She wants people to think about how hard it is to work as a young female when most movies only have two kinds of roles on offer.

"I think it's important for us to - especially women to remember that there is a default mechanism that's just ingrained in us in Hollywood and we just tend to characterise women in one of two ways the first being either sexy or beautiful It offers you quite a bright spark but never a flame While as in the other category, you are offered the ability to take on many different qualities whether it be funny or strong or mean or flawed or vulnerable or intelligent or independent, humorous, witty but yet you never get that spark you just have perhaps the smallest flame," she told Stylist magazine.
