In his career as a director, Ashutosh Gowariker has worked with some of the biggest stars of the industry. Be it with Aamir Khan in 'Lagaan', Shahrukh Khan in 'Swades' or Hrithik-Aishwarya in 'Jodhaa Akbar', Ashutosh has been amongst those privileged directors who has maintained a decent success record.

Now he is on the verge of fulfilling his long standing dream of working with Amitabh Bachchan. Reportedly Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to direct his next film and apparently has casted Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It was rumored that Amitabh's role in the awaited film will be along the lines of the hit Hollywood James Bond character. However, it is claimed that the role is roughly based on the antics of a super-detective and not on James Bond.

Before this Ashutosh had a brief working relationship with Amitabh when the two worked together in his film 'Lagaan' in which Amitabh had lent his voice as a story narrator.
