The organizers of Chennai International Film Festival have finally come forward to screen 'Thenmerku Paruvakaatru' and 'Sengadal', following stiff opposition from the Tamil Film Directors Association for not selecting these two 'important' movies.

A decision in this regard was taken after talks between Tamil film personalities andIndo Cine Appreciation Foundation, who organized the festival.

Last week, Directors Association general secretary Ameer criticized the organizers of CIFF for not including the names of the national award winning films in the screening list.

'It is unfortunate that National award winning films like 'Thenmerukku Paruvakattru' and 'Sengadal', that were screened at Panorama section of Indian International Film Festival has been neglected for screening at CIFF. Hence the directors association is boycotting the event,' he said.
