(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Daryl Hannah has been arrested.

The Kill Bill star was protesting outside the White House today when she apparently ignored three requests by police officers to move.

The actress-turned-activist was promptly put into handcuffs and led away by authorities along with other environmental protestors.

Daryl, 50, was lending her voice over her disagreement about a planned oil pipeline from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

"Sometimes it's necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom," she said.

"And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future."

The blonde beauty was famously arrested back in 2009 when she stopped traffic in West Virginia by blocking a busy road during a protest about mining practices.

Daryl has also worked to help end sexual slavery and has travelled around the world to film a documentary on the subject. (C) Cover Media
