Farhan Akhtar suffered an elbow injury while shooting for an action sequence for his untitled film. Unfortunately a punch hit landed on the wrong spot of his elbow, injuring the actor's elbow muscles. 

According to a leading daily, Farhan was diagnosed with epicondylitis, which affects the tendons of the elbow, it is also referred as golfer's elbow.

The actor has been in pain for last 5-6 days and thus is unable to make any movement with his left hand.

A source from the sets says, "What made it worse was that he could not take painkillers and instead had to rely on ice-compression, elevation and rest. He has been quietly resting at home and the pain has eased a bit."
