The IPL-wait of our cricket-worshipping nation finally ends today as the season kicks off with its first T-20 between Chennai Super Kings (the defending IPL and Champions League T20) and Kolkata Knight Riders. Fans are in for a visual treat as the opening ceremony promises to be an exuberant affair with sizzling dance numbers, a dazzling laser show and fireworks that promise to light up the evening sky! In fact, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has promised to entertain by grooving to some of his hit numbers, in addition to dancing with the Kollywood siren, Shriya Saran, in a brilliantly choreographed act. He is also expected to perform to the IPL tune, composed by the Bollywood musician duo - Sajid and Wajid. A host of playback singers will bring the evening alive, with Sunidhi Chauhan who will perform her latest song, 'Heartbeat'.
Lately, there have been a few IPL-rumours doing the rounds about Preity Zinta selling her IPL cricket team, Kings XI Punjab.
