Chennai based Hindu Dharma Sakthi has filed a writ petition in the Madras High Court, alleging that producer Udhayanidhi Stalin's debut heroic venture Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OK OK) has hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
In its petition, the organisation sought an order from the court for removal of certain portions of the movie.
Referring to the promos of OK OK, Hindu Dharma Sakthi said it portrayed a godman named Uthukottai Ulagananda, clad in saffron with rudraksha malas, in bad light. The background song and the dialogues hurt Hindus sentiments, the petition further said.
Denying the claim, the Censor Board said in its counter that the examining committee had examined the movie according to the provisions of the Cinematograph Act and issued the censor certificate under U category with cuts. Order on the case will be issued on Monday.
