(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Aniston's mother has reportedly suffered a stroke.

Nancy Dow, 75, was rushed to the hospital over the weekend and is in serious condition, MailOnline are reporting.

The actress was apparently seen going to visit her mother at a Los Angeles medical centre with her boyfriend Justin Theroux but he is said to have waited outside the room while a tearful Jennifer saw Nancy.

Jennifer, 42, has had a tumultuous relationship with her mother over the years and the pair did not speak for over a decade at one stage.

After Nancy, who is a former model, gave an interview about her daughter in 1996, Jennifer apparently called her in a rage saying she would "never forgive" her.

Nancy later wrote a book about their relationship entitled, From Mother And Daughter To Friends: A Memoir.

"This is my last chunk of disease in my life my mom," Jennifer said in 2001, a year after she married Brad Pitt but did not invite her mother to the wedding.

Jennifer was raised by Nancy after her actor father John Aniston walked out of the family when the actress was nine-years-old.

The mother and daughter are said to have reconciled their relationship three years ago.

"It's good. It's OK. Things are now fine between us. All of that is over and we're in touch with one another. We speak and it's all over," Jennifer told the New York Post in 2009. (C) Cover Media
