Throughout the making of the film 'Joker', film's director-producer Shirish Kunder had flooded his microblogging page with the developments and updates over the film.

A huge buzz was created by him, stating that the film is totally different from whatever alien films have released in Bollywood so far. But all the myths about the film were broken when the film released yesterday. 

'Joker' opened to poor critical reviews and even poorer openings, with only 10-20% occupancy all over the multiplexes. The fact that the film was not promoted at all, suffered in business as there was no word spread about the release of the film.

Trade experts however still predict that the film might pick up business, citing the chemistry between film's lead stars Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar who recently delivered a hit in the name of 'Rowdy Rathore'.

It remains to be seen if Akshay and Sonakshi prove to be the saving grace for the film.
