(Cover) - EN Movies - Justin Timberlake is to showcase his action hero talents in a new crime caper.

The musician-and-actor has proved his dramatic talents in films like Alpha Dog and The Social Network, and tickles the funny bone in forthcoming comedy Friends with Benefits. And now he's signed on to star in action movie Fully Automatic.

The film focuses on two fresh faced police officers who team up with a female Delta Force solider to track down an unhinged mercenary. Produced by Joel Silver, who shot to fame due to his involvement in 80s action thrillers like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard, the film has been long in development, with Running Scared director Wayne Kramer attached to helm it in 2009. Apart from Justin, there are no other casting details, and it's unknown whether Wayne has still signed on to direct.

As well as Friends with Benefits alongside Mila Kunis, Justin will be seen in sci-fi drama In Time, which is directed by Andrew Niccol. (C) Cover Media
