Kate Winslet to be awarded CBE

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Winslet is to be honoured with a CBE title.

The British actress will be presented the coveted award - Commander of the Order of the British Empire - by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

Kate's accolade will be revealed in the monarch's Birthday Honours List on Saturday, according to British newspaper The Sun.

The 36-year-old Oscar winner is being recognised for her "significant contribution" to Britain.

Also receiving an award is TV choirmaster Gareth Malone, who performed at the queen's recent Diamond Jubilee concert. He will be awarded an OBE - Order of the British Empire.

"Kate and Gareth have made a significant contribution to modern Britain. The Queen is pleased to be able to reward them in her Jubilee year," a source told the publication.

Kate will also join Take That star Gary Barlow, who is to get an OBE.
