(Cover) - EN Fashion - Kelly Osbourne was thrilled when Betsey Johnson gave her a dress straight off the runway of her New York Fashion Week show yesterday.
Kelly is a huge fashion fan and is currently in New York attending catwalk shows. Yesterday she was in the front row at the Betsey Johnson debut, and was stunned when the designer took a dress off a model and gave it to her to wear to the labels after-party that evening.
Betsey gave me a dress straight from the run way to wear to her after party! Omg I can't believe it I don't not have the words to express my love for betsy Johnson I f**king idolize her (sic), Kelly wrote on her Twitter page. Thank you so much for everything @xoBetseyJohnson. Betsey Johnson is the best show I have seen all week!
Betseys Spring/Summer 11 collection included neon ruffles, sailor suits and floral print bloomers. Leather biker jackets, rompers and colourful cocktail dresses also featured heavily, and most of the models wore stiletto booties. Betseys finale was a parade of lemon yellow tank dresses worn by models waving black checkered finish line flags.
Donna Karan also showed her new collection yesterday. Her theme was raw romance and featured billowy dresses, tailored twill jackets and a finale gown made of pale gold tulle.
"The urban woman finds power in the feminine, embracing nature as she expresses herself," Karan said in her notes, "trusting her natural instincts with artistry, romance and grace, each item is an emotional object of desire, created to express the freedom of each individual movement."
Carolina Herreras show was heavy on florals, with dozens of bright and muted prints appearing on the runway. Crisp white blouses, simple pencil skirts and structured dresses all featured heavily, with most boasting Korean detailing.
"The cut and details of this collection were inspired by traditional clothes from Korea, Carolinas show notes read.
