(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lil Wayne was hospitalised after suffering "seizure-like symptoms" on a flight yesterday.

The 30-year-old rapper's plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas on Thursday afternoon after he became unwell mid-flight.

According to US website TMZ, Wayne suffered "seizure-like symptoms" on the jet, and was rushed off to a local hospital as soon as he touched down.

The star - real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. - was reportedly at the hospital for "several hours" after the incident.

Wayne is reportedly "doing better", although details of a diagnosis haven't been released.

The rap star has recently been concentrating on his new music. Lil Wayne filmed a music video for T.I.'s new single Ball in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, recently.

"It was weird, because we shot it in my 'hood, and he shot it in some spots that I hadn't been in so long," he explained. "To just even be back in those spots was crazy and just to have that old atmosphere back, that old Cash Money [record label feel], shooting videos with the whole 'hood out there, the whole city out there."
