(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has revealed she was left numb when she was handed a jail sentence last week.
The troubled actress has spoken out in public for the first time since she appeared in court on Friday, recording an interview for American television series The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Lindsay is reported to have been a late addition to the guest list and the interview, which was taped yesterday, will air in the US tonight.
The 24-year-old star, who was wearing a black satin jumpsuit, is believed to have received a standing ovation when she was introduced and talked candidly about her latest court appearance. Lindsay was found in violation of her probation as well as being sentenced to four months in jail in a Los Angeles court, for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace.
Lindsay admitted she was surprised by the verdict handed down to her.
The star is reported to have told the talk show host she found the ruling "shocking" and said it her left her "kind of numb".
The stars legal team appealed her jail sentence and Lindsay was freed after bail was posted shortly after the ruling on Friday, although the judge said she has to complete 480 hours of community service. A reported 120 hours of this will be spent at the Los Angeles County Department of Coroners facility, where her tasks will include collecting trash, emptying bins and cleaning floors, windows and bathrooms.
During the interview Lindsay is also believed to have confirmed she has landed a role in new mobster movie Gotti: Three Generations, which will star John Travolta. (C) Cover Media
