Mahesh Babu stood at fifth position in the List of 50 Most Desirable Men 2011, an online poll conducted by Times of India group.

Mahesh Babu is the only South Indian star to get a place in the top ten while Salman Khan won the number one position.
 
Mahesh Babu thanked his fans for making this happen. Before heading to Bangkok to participate in the shoot of an ad, he posted on his micro-blogging page: "A big thank you to all of you who made it happen and I will join the shoot of "Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu"  from 16th February"

From 16th February the shoot of the film will begin at Kutraalam near Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu. This schedule will last more than 15 days there and after that the unit will come down for the shoot at a specially erected set at Ramoji Film City.
