Matthew Morrison believes his ex-girlfriend Kelly Brook "is a wonderful person."

The 33-year-old Glee actor and the stunning English model dated briefly in 2010.

British newspaper The Daily Mail reported Thursday that Matthew didn't consider Kelly to be "exactly the brightest bulb."

Matthew contends that he never said anything of the sort.

"Wow, woke up to a flurry of emails regarding Kelly Brook," Matthew posted on his Twitter account Thursday. "Don't always believe what you read. Kelly is a wonderful person and a good friend. (sic)"

Kelly has no enmity toward Matthew and is happy he addressed the matter.

"Thank you Matt," Kelly responded on Twitter, signing the tweet off with a bevy of virtual kisses.

Kelly didn't allow the bogus controversial statements that insulted her intelligence to impact her emotionally.

"I've had one motto I've always lived by - Dignity always Dignity (unless your [sic] making someone laugh) xxxx," she tweeted yesterday following the newspaper's publication.

Matthew and Kelly were spotted sharing a passionate romantic kiss outside a London restaurant in Mayfair during the summer of 2010, but the pair have since moved on.

Kelly is now dating rugby player Thom Evans and Matthew is thought to be single.
