(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mel C has dismissed talk of a new Spice Girls album as complete nonsense.

Earlier today there were claims the British girl band comprising Mel, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham have as many as 60 recorded tracks they have not yet released. Several of these were said to be sure fire number one singles, and it was alleged the two Mels were keen to show them to the public via a new record.

However, Mel C has slammed the report on Twitter, insisting there is no truth to it whatsoever.

Stories in UK papers today about a Spice Girls album are complete nonsense. Bore off (sic)!! she wrote.

While Mel C and Mel B were reported to be keen on working with the band again, it was claimed Victoria was less happy about the idea. She is currently pregnant with her fourth child and has a successful fashion business, which it was said she is keen to focus on.

Although Mel has rubbished the report, Victoria has previously said she has no interest in working in music again as she is so happy with her new career path. (C) Cover Media
