Looks like, there is more and more cooking against Sun Pictures and its chief operating officer Hansraj Saxena. Just three days after he was arrested at the Chennai airport, sources tell us that more cases could be foisted against him.
"Some producers and distributors, who are affected by Sun Pictures and Saxena, are planning to file complaints against him. They were in fear so far since the production company was close to the DMK government," sources say.
A close aide of Sun Group chairman and managing director Kalanithi Maran, Saxena has been arrested at the airport by the Chennai city police in connection with an alleged fraud in purchasing the telecast rights of a Tamil film, 'Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai'. It is said that Saxena was held at the airport after he arrived by a flight from Hyderabad following a complaint by TS Selvaraj, owner of Kandan Films in Salem.
Selvaraj had lodged a complaint on July 1st with the City Police Commissioner alleging that Sun Pictures had signed a deal to sell the distribution rights for Salem area for the film Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai.
They had signed a deal for Rs 1.25 crore and Sun Pictures had taken the money but Saxena had allegedly distributed the film directly to theatre owners, after taking money from them, instead of selling the rights to Selvaraj.
