A heart-warming Christmas fantasy tale

Based on the book series 'Guardians of Childhood' by William Joyce, as well as on the author's short film 'The Man in the Moon', the script by David Lindsay-Abaire plays fast with these fixtures of childhood legendaries, attaching to them all sorts of fairy tales figures who sense a threat of being ignored.

In this DreamWorks animation film, director Peter Ramsey assembles a sort of famous five in Jack Frost(Chris Pine), Santa(Alec Baldwin), mute and chubby Sandman, Tooth Fairy(Isla Fisher) and Easter Bunny(Hugh Jackman) in an epic fight against every child's enemy- the Bogeyman(Jude Law) who wants to eradicates children's belief in all these heroic folklore.

Jack Frost is the guardian who can fly anywhere at any time, his task is to protect children from evil but he has to deal with his own dilemma because the other guardians are all admired, loved and appreciated by children, while he lingers with the thought of being unnoticed.

Impressively, there are ample of classic themes in this fantasy journey. The voice work contributed an excitement with the animation excellent. The characters and settings are attractively designed, and the vocal performances have real colour and a sense of fun that soothingly rekindle childhood memories in believing of all the festive folklores.
