Prakash Raj has opted out of a project in his mother tongue Kannada, as the actor has to take care of his ailing mother. 'Yes, my mother is currently in hospital. So I had to walk out of director Yogaraj Bhat’s Drama,' the National Award winning actor says.

He adds, 'I was very interested to do the film, since it was long time since I was part of a Kannada movie. Also, Yogaraj Bhat had offered me a very meaty role in this movie. But I could not do it.'

Following Prakash Raj's exit, the director is considering the names of actors such as Sarathkumar and Atul Kulkarni for the role. Remember Sarath, a popular actor in Kollywood, is of late acting in many Malayalam and Kannada movies.

In the meantime, circles close to Prakash Raj say he will soon start his next directorial venture. 'He is waiting for his mother to get well soon.' The actor-director-producer made his presence felt with his directorial debut 'Dhoni' sometime back.
