(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Reese Witherspoon has confessed she sometimes wishes her divorce was a suit I could zip off.

The 34-year-old actress announced her split from husband Ryan Phillippe in 2006 after seven years of marriage. The pair have two children together 11-year-old Ava and Deacon, seven and Reese has previously discussed her sadness at the breakdown of the relationship.

Although Reese hasnt always been lucky in love she is currently smitten with Hollywood agent Jim Toth and there have been reports he is set to propose soon. Reese refuses to dwell too much on her failed romances, but admits she sometimes wishes she could shed her past.

"It definitely sometimes feels like a suit that I wish I could zip off," she said of her divorce in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "But I don't feel bad about any of the things I've gone through, whether it's divorce or break-ups or anything like that, because that's all part of the life journey.

"My favourite quote is from Martha Stewart: I have a short memory for painful things. And I do. Maybe that's really unhealthy, and I probably need to see a therapist. But I don't dwell. You just keep going forward."

Reese also vows to maintain a positive outlook on life for the sake of her children. She wants them to always strive to achieve their life goals and be unafraid of failure.

"Also, I have kids. What are you going to do? Are you going to teach them to be one of those people who keep looking in the rear-view mirror, or are you going to teach them to be one of those people who go, 'Tomorrow's another day'?" she added. (C) Cover Media
