Richa is Bollywood bound

After making her presence felt in Tollywood and bagging two meaty roles in Kollywood (Osthi opposite Simbu and Mayakkam Enna opposite Dhanush), Richa Gangopadhyay is now Bollywood bound. The actress will play a crucial role in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Thiruttu Payale.

Susi Ganesan, who directed the original version, is wielding the megaphone for the Hindi version too. Titled Shortcut Romeo, the film has Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead role, played by Jeevan in Thiruttu Payale. Inside sources tell us that Richa has been roped in for the character made memorable by Sonia Aggarwal in the Tamil version. "She is happy to bag a meaty role and is eager to make it big in Bollywood with Shortcut Romeo, which is a romantic thriller," sources say.

The film is about a youngster, who accidentally captures in his camera the secret affair of a millionaire's wife with her husband's friend. He starts blackmailing her and manages to extract loads of money. However, things are not the same when the businessman comes to know about his wife's plight.
