Sean Bean shy on set

24th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Movies - Sean Bean is "shy and old-school", according to Danny Dyer.

The pair worked together on the 2007 action film Outlaw and can next be seen alongside each other in upcoming movie Ages of Heroes, which is based on the formation of Ian Fleming's 30 Commando unit during World War II.

Danny has revealed Sean is actually quite reserved on set, despite being a veteran actor.

"I've worked with him before, about four years ago, so I sort of knew him a bit already. He's a shy man. He's old-school and professional. He's someone that hasn't stopped working in 20 years. He's great and he really pulls it out of the bag," he told Cover Media. "There was a lot of banter on set, because there's a lot of men together, f**king around and winding each other up. Sean got involved in that a little bit, but like I say. He's shy. He likes to keep himself to himself I suppose. He does his job and gets on with what he's got to do."

Sean suffered with an illness that hit the crew and camp whilst filming in Norway. Danny, 33, revealed Sean was joking that he hadn't been struck down with the virus, only to become ill the following day.

"Sean was one of the last ones to get it. We were having a laugh and a joke, then he got it. He was down for about two days with it. I was thinking, I'm going to get it next,' but I didn't, I don't know what the f**k happened!"

Age of Heroes is in UK cinemas now and on DVD and Blu-ray on June 13. (C) Cover Media
