(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Simon Cowell will not marry for at least 20 years.
The X Factor judge's publicist Max Clifford said yesterday that the 51-year-old had no immediate plans to tie the knot with his fiance Mezhgan Hussainy.
Max told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper that although the pair got engaged last year there will not be any "I dos" said for a long while.
"You might have to wait 20 years for Simon to plan a wedding," the PR guru said. "But they are as close as they have ever been."
Mezhgan has recently been seen without her engagement ring and Simon told radio host Howard Stern that he "wasn't sure" if he was still betrothed.
The American version of X Factor finally debuts this week and Simon is said to be expecting at least 20 million viewers otherwise he will be disappointed.
In an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan which will air tomorrow, Simon addresses his sacking of Cheryl Cole, who was replaced by Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
"I was talking to somebody about this who was at the screening the other night, and they put it very well. She looked a bit bewildered," he revealed.
"Not everyone is like you Piers. You come to a country like America, it's a big deal, takes a while to adjust.
"And I took the view along with a few other people that she would have been more comfortable back in the UK." (C) Cover Media
