(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Solange Knowles had a run-in with the police over the weekend.

The 25-year-old younger sister of Beyonc tweeted about the incident which she called "discrimination".

While her older sibling was sharing the news of her pregnancy with the world, Solange was in Miami and got into trouble with officers after being refused entry into a club.

Miami Beach Police Department spokesman Det. Juan Sanchez told E! News that his office is considering launching an internal affairs investigation over the matter.

"The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was now allowed in a club," he stated.

"When she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun."

He added that he could not give much more information pending further enquiries.

But Solange took to her Twitter page to give her side of the story.

"A police officer just pulled a weapon on me I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort," she wrote.

"I am simply tired of police using arrogance, ego and authority as an offense."

The singer said that she had reported the incident as she was "beyond frustrated with the system".

TMZ claim that Solange was holding a five-foot tall inflatable banana and the police threatened to deflate it. (C) Cover Media
