Veteran director Perarasu, who is known for his masala entertainers is to make the sequel of 1990 blockbuster 'Samrajyam' named 'Son of Alexander'.

Starring Arya in the lead role, the film will be cinematographed by Sekhar V Joseph, who did a wonderful job in Rajinikanth’s 'Chandramukhi'. Ilaiyaraja will give the background score. 

However, there is more to it. With all Kollywood players on board Perarasu plans to make the film in Malayalam.

Producer of the film, Ajmal Hasan is very optimistic about the whole arrangement and says, "It is an interesting script and am sure that Perarasu will make it as a gripping movie. Shooting will start soon."

Samrajyam was the story of a don named Alexander. As the title suggests Son of Alexander will revolve around the don’s son and his tryst with destiny.
