He is known as one of the best film-makers in the Tollywood film industry. Yes, we are speaking about Srinu Vaitla, who celebrates his birthday today.

Starting off his career with the movie 'Nee Kosam', which was an average flick in the box office, but it was critically acclaimed by the audiences. Playing the role of a director, story-writer and screenplay-writer, his first movie won the Silver Nandi for Best Feature Film and he won the Nandi Award for Best Debut Director and Nandi Award for Best Screenplay Writer.

Later he shot to fame with the movie 'Anandam'. He has made his own impression on the Telugu Cimena comedy even since.

In most of his movies the music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad and after the movie 'Venky', he has been working alongside Gopimohan and Kona Venkat in the script-writing.

2012 was the best year for Srinu, as his movie 'Dookudu' made a stunning hit, bagging as many as 6 awards, wherein he won the Best Director Awards from Filmfare, CineMaa, South Indian International Movie and the Hyderabad Times Film.

Currently, Srinu is working on his next titled 'Baadshah' starring Jr. N.T.R. and Kajal Agarwal. The movie is progressing briskly and it should be ready for release by early 2013.
