Festivals and National Holidays are major days for Bollywood to attract the audience attention towards their films.
While many vie to release their films on festive occasions to cash in on the opportunity, the competition has come to another micro-level as stars are vying to get mass attention towards the release of their film's trailers and posters too.
Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are keen on releasing their forthcoming film's trailer and posters on Independence Day.
While SRK's 'Happy New Year' trailer will release along with Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Returns', Aamir is planning to host a full-fledged event to launch the second poster of his movie 'PK'. Industry experts claim that it's actually a smart move for both the films.
"Coming on a national holiday, Ajay's film will have large footfalls, so attaching a trailer with it is a smart move. Even Aamir knows that Independence Day would be ideal as people will have spare time to watch TV and surf the Internet. The second poster of his film will have good reach in the media and on social networking websites," said trade analyst Atul Mohan.
Similar is the opinion of another expert who believes that it is a treat for audiences. "It's a triple bonanza for the audience. They are not only going to get a new film to watch, but also get glimpses of the content of two upcoming films," said film business expert Girish Johar.
