Jeeva's 'Vandhaan Vendran'is rolling fast on the floors and if what is heard from the close sources is true, then there are only few portions left for completion. Director Kannan, a former associate of filmmaker Manirathnam, is well known for his breezy, romantic, family entertainers.

For the first time, the filmmaker gears up for a totally different show, a crime thriller. Set against the backdrops of Mumbai and Chennai, the crime thriller will have Jeeva playing the role of a professional boxer and Taapsee as his ladylove, while Nanda takes on the baddie's role. The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures and has Thamman S scoring the music.
