(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette has revealed he and his wife Courteney Cox agreed to a trial separation after the actress said she didnt want to mother him anymore.

The couple announced they have decided to spend some time apart last night. They have been married for 11 years and have a six-year-old daughter, Coco, together. David and Courteney released a statement to confirm they have been undergoing a trial split for some time, but are still very much in love and will always put their daughter first.

David phoned into Howard Sterns radio show earlier today and admitted Courteney felt she was spending too much time looking after him and had suggested they separate soon after their 11th wedding anniversary in June.

He has also reportedly claimed they stopped having sex a month before they began filming the new Scream movie this year.

She said to me, I dont want to be your mother anymore, and I appreciated that and I respect that, he said. I have been going to therapy and I am trying to grow up, I am trying to be my true self and be true to myself. I am trying to figure out myself and my world as is she.

Listen, we are best friends. She is the greatest woman I have ever met. The moment I met her I knew, she is the greatest woman in the whole f**king world. Now, yes, she has her issues. She tries to take on everybodys problems, she tries to be a mother to everyone and that is why she doesnt want to be a mother to me anymore.

David insists he still loves Courteney and is hopeful he can patch things up with her. The pair broke the news of their split to Coco while they were on the beach and have promised her they will try to work on their relationship.

He also went on to confirm he has had sex with 28-year-old bartender Jasmine Waltz one time, maybe twice since his split from Courteney and they have agreed to see other people while they spend time apart. (C) Cover Media
