(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette can scare people by showing them his calves.

The 39-year-old actor is best known for playing lovable Dewey Riley in spooky horror franchise Scream. The star is currently promoting Scream 4, the latest instalment in the franchise, which also stars wife Courteney Cox Arquette who David separated from last year as Deweys busybody wife Gale Weathers-Riley.

David admits the Scream franchise has seen some rather gruesome displays of violence over the years, although he joked that he probably provided one of the scariest moments in the original 1996 film.

I remember that I had to run around in Gales dress in the first film. That was pretty frightening, if youve ever seen my calves, he laughed in an interview with the British edition of OK! magazine.

Courteney, who has been happy to promote Scream 4 alongside David despite their marital concerns, teased that she didnt think she [had] seen the actors scary leg muscles.

David also discussed how interesting it has been for him and Courteney to play husband and wife on screen as well as being married in real life. He thinks them knowing each other so well makes the movie even more profound.

Its been a great experience, really growing with each other and going through lifes changes. I guess I said it already it brings a real humanness to these movies; another layer, added David. (C) Cover Media
