(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Duffy says she wants to be brave enough to try new career pursuits.
The 26-year-old Welsh singer became an overnight success with her debut album Rockferry in 2008, and second album Endlessly released last year established her as one of the worlds most powerful singers.
Duffy has spoken in the past about her struggle with fame, and took an extended break between the first and second album to take stock of her meteoric rise to stardom.
She admits that she has a far more positive attitude now though, and is looking forward to a long-lasting career in the spotlight.
I cant predict my own future so I take every day as it comes. I want to be brave enough to take new adventures on, she beamed in an interview with British newspaper The Daily Express.
The star has recently ventured into acting, and is currently promoting drama Patagonia which recounts parallel journeys across Wales and Argentina and sees Duffy making her film debut. Although the stars schedule has been jam packed of late, she always makes sure she finds time to relax.
The hardest thing Ive had to get through is my own mind. You have to keep your mind in check and make sure you enjoy the finer things in life like laughing and friends, Wales, cake, coffee, good books, good films, keeping yourself occupied with good things and not bad things. You could over-worry, over-think, lie in bed at night complicating your life. I like to keep things straightforward, she asserted. (C) Cover Media
