(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Juliette Lewis says she had to be convinced to go to hospital after her car accident.

The 37-year-old actress was returning from a movie event in California last week when her chauffeur-driven car was crashed into by a hit-and-run driver.

Juliette has now spoken out about the traumatic ordeal, revealing that she was initially reluctant to go to casualty as she could still walk, but fortunately was convinced to by paramedics.

"The paramedic said to me, 'Juliette, you don't understand. We don't normally see people walk away from a crash that bad You need to go to the hospital, the actress told People magazine. "He had to convince me."

Luckily Juliette survived the accident without serious injuries, although she is undergoing physical therapy for whiplash. The star confessed she still feels traumatised by the whole event, and doesnt really feel comfortable talking about it yet.

I can't even go into it, it's so sad. I'm still a bit shaken up," she confided.

"It reminds you to focus on the little things, the good things. Right afterward, I got together with my friends and family. I was touched to see everybody." (C) Cover Media
