Mahesh Bhatt, the renowned film-maker, is a godfather to many budding talents in the industry, apart from successfully launching and re-launching stars like Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu and Emraan Hashmi, he still continues to play mentor to many. The cult film-maker has also given breaks to many Pakistani talents but now, one of those he has mentored, is accusing him of harassment.
Pakistani actress Meera, who made her debut in Bhatt's film 'Nazar', is accusing Mahesh Bhatt of being over possessive. The actress claimed that she had several offers from Bollywood directors like Subhash Ghai, Ram Gopal Verma and Mani Ratnam as well but it was Mahesh Bhatt's mandate that she should only work with him and no one else. She even accused him of physically harassing her, by slapping her a couple of times, when she told Mahesh about her meeting with Subhash Ghai.
Mahesh Bhatt has refuted the accusation and tagged her 'childish' and advised her to be under parental gaze, to protect her from herself. Well, what's true and what's not, is something only these stars will know for sure and the Indian audience is used to such controversies by now.
