Superstar Rajinikanth has offered his 'Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam' at Kodambakkam in Chennai free of cost as the venue for the protest, where people across Tamil Nadu are on a three-day fast since yesterday in a show of solidarity for Anna Hazare.

Interestingly, if one has to go by what sources say, Rajinikanth and Anna spoke to each other over telephone when the activist was in Chennai last week to drum up support for his demand for a strong Lokpal Bill.

In a statement on Monday, India Against Corruption (IAC), a movement backed by Anna said Rajinikanth has offered his 'Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam' free of cost for three days from 27th December to 29th December for IAC to hold their fast protest in support of Hazare.

During Hazare's 12-day fast in August this year, Rajnikanth had expressed his support for the anti-corruption movement, the IAC statement recalled.
