Rebecca Romijn forgot' how to eat healthy

31st October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rebecca Romijn admits that "it's been hard" to maintain a healthy diet after having children.

The 38-year-old actress gave birth to twin daughters Dolly and Charlie in December 2008. Getting back in shape and watching what she eats is an arduous process for Rebecca.

"I cut out starch, dairy and sugar for the last few months," Rebecca said in an interview on US television programme The Talk. "It's been hard."

Rebecca was so busy nourishing her children that she had simply began to neglect good dietary habits.

"I'd gotten very fluffy for the whole childbearing experience. You do that when you get pregnant, and then you find out you're having twins, then you're nursing them for eight months, and then you're finishing up their meals," she explained.

"I had forgotten how much I was really supposed to be eating and then fast food started making its way into their diets and I felt like I was getting lazy about food preparation."

With the aid of Bikram yoga and her healthy new diet, Rebecca has reached her fitness goal. She is not against candy entirely, however, as the treats help her potty train her toddlers.

"I'm doing something that I shouldn't be doing, which is bribing them with M&M's. But it's do or die at this point!" Rebecca laughed.

"I'm like, If you go pee pee on the potty, you get an M&M,' and they keep going, On a plate?' So every time they go I get the biggest plate I can find [and] put one in the middle of it." (C) Cover Media
