Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor's magnum opus film 'Haider' is all set to release on October 2. Shahid, who has been an experimental actor throughout his career, has had the perfect mix of commercial and parallel films.
While he has commercial hits like 'Jab We Met', he also has 'Kaminey' that was appreciated by critics as well as the audiences. While his last hit 'R..Rajkumar' was a commercial potboiler, his next, 'Haider' is an adaptation of a literary classic 'Hamlet'.
Talking about the two films, Shahid explains how both the films are special for him, "R...Rajkumar was something very different, a totally different zone for me. I have worked with Vishal sir before also, so it’s a different feeling with 'Haider'. I feel I have matured a lot in the last few months," said Shahid.
While this is his second film with Vishal Bhardwaj after 'Kaminey', Shahid explains what makes them click as a team and how he is happy to have done this film.
"Somehow, whatever we try to do together, it has worked. It's not easy to do that. It's so difficult to achieve it every time that you have to credit a little bit of it to luck. I feel content that I did this film (Haider) because there are certain films that you do depending on whether it will do well or not, and then there are those you do because as an actor, you want to feel enriched and you want to have an experience, which will help you to grow. 'Haider' is that film," he added.
