Sofa Vergara was refused entry to a bar after she was asked for ID to prove she is over 21.

The Modern Family actress is known for her stunning looks but the 39-year-old star failed to convince the doorman to let her into the Ava Lounge at the Dream Midtown hotel in New York City.

Sofa had been planning to attend a party for the Broadway show Ghost the Musical.

Although she tried to flirt and joke with the security team and her friends tried to explain who she was, they wouldn't let her enter when she failed to produce ID.

"Despite her powerful charms and pleas from her friends, who said, You know who she is, right?' the doorman would not budge," reports New York Post,

Sofa who is often nicknamed Sofa Viagra - is believed to have laughed off the incident and the group decided to party elsewhere.

The Colombian-born bombshell is used to people questioning her age. She has previously revealed that many outsiders are shocked when she says she has an adult son. Manolo will be 20 later this year.
