Taylor Kitsch planning risky career

1st April 2012

Taylor Kitsch wants to take "insane risks" with his career.

The Canadian actor is best known for his role as Tim Riggins in the NBC television series Friday Night Lights. He was recently cast as the title role in epic sci-fi movie John Carter however the movie didn't live up to expectations and was largely panned by critics.

Taylor ignores such negativity and hopes to continue at full-speed in Hollywood.

"I want to keep working with the best, keep going and be a better actor each time I go and dive into something," he told the UK edition of OK! magazine. "I want to be scared. I want to keep taking insane risks.

"Because you're going to grow through that whether you want to or not. I don't want to play the same guy. I want to keep throwing curveballs to you guys and keep telling stories."

Taylor likes to relax away from shooting with a range of sports. The 30-year-old star appreciates his downtime.

"Just be normal, play golf, play hockey. It's funny because you're in this little bubble when you're working - you don't read books, you don't really keep up with the news, you're just living that life," he explained.

"When you get out, you just kind of reacquaint yourselves with family and friends. You try and forget and just try and remember what reality feels like."
