Billa 2 makers and lead stars have repeatedly claimed that the movie was a superhit and is doing roaring business at the Box Office, even after getting 'thumb downs' from critics.
However, Vidyut Jamwal has admitted that the Tamil film has failed and has pointed his finger at the Regional Censor Board, which chopped many sequences citing 'objectionable scene'. This, according to the actor, changed the original shape of the movie.
If reports are to be believed, Vidyut Jamwal has said that the Censor Board asked them to cut-off some key scenes that turned out to prove very costly to the film's impact. Especially, the scenes involving Ajith Kumar and Vidyut, came under the scanner of the censor board and they felt the scenes were too violent.
According to him, he along with Thala had worked hard for those scenes, and their efforts went in vain. However, he adds that his next movie Thuppakki will not follow the footsteps of Billa 2.
Meanwhile, the Billa 2 fever seems to be finally slowing down, as the collections of the film have completely dropped at the International Box Office. Not only in foreign countries, but also in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore, the movie has failed to pull the audience to theatres.
